OUR CHALET
We are delighted to be able to offer “The Castle”, run for us by Nomadic Ski Ltd., as our valley base. You’ll get to meet climbers from other courses just coming down from Gran Paradiso or Mont Blanc so you can find out in advance what it’s like, and you can also listen in on our radio link with our groups currently going for the summit. All in all a great “base camp” atmosphere, always of course with the latest weather forecasts and mountain conditions.
MONT BLANC GUIDES’ BASE CAMP: “THE CASTLE”
We have exclusive use of this fantastic chalet throughout the summer so you never have to move out of your room mid-course, as well as being only five minutes’ walk from Chamonix town centre with its shops bars and restaurants. Accommodation is provided on a twin share basis, full breakfast and evening meals are included, and you’re welcome to spend the night after your course finishes (e.g. the Friday night after a Saturday start course) with breakfast included at no extra charge.
SUMMARY OF OUR ACCOMMODATION
- All MBG clients housed exclusively at “The Castle” for all nights of the course when not in mountain huts; no need to move out of your room when going into the mountains.
- All breakfasts and evening meals (three courses) included, as well as tea and cakes when coming down from the mountains. Also satellite TV and Wi-Fi.
- Centralised “base camp” style set up with admin office and equipment store in same location and radio communication with teams on Mont Blanc.
- Five minutes’ walk from Chamonix town centre
- Last night accommodation with breakfast at no extra charge if you prefer to leave the morning after your course finishes (e.g. Friday night after a Saturday start course; please note we include Saturday morning breakfast in this case, but you would need to eat in town on Friday night).
- Sorry but we don’t have enough space to offer single room upgrades, however bear in mind that you will usually spend four nights in mountain huts anyway
